Ingredients
2 ea firm ripe pear
2 T orange juice
2 1/2 oz crumbled stilton cheese
1 T dried cranberries
1 T toasted chopped hazelnuts
2 t grated orange zest
1 T olive oil
4 c lettuce
1 pn sea salt
1 pn black pepper

Directions
1. Halve pears lengthwise and cored. Brush the pear halves with a little orange juice. Put stilton in a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon until creamy. Stir in the cranberries, hazelnuts, orange zest, and enough orange juice to moisten. Fill the pear hollows with the cheese mixture.

2. Preheat the broiler to medium hot and line the broiler pan with foil. Transfer the pears to the prepared pan and broil for 3-4 minutes, until the cheese just begins to melt. Remove from the heat.

3. Put the olive oil, remaining orange juice, salt and pepper to taste in a large bowl. Beat well. Add the salad leaves and toss to coat. Divide the salad between 4 serving plates. Put 1 pear half on each plate and serve immediately.
